Susannan englannin opiskelu vaikuttaa tällaisen tumpelon korvissa todella haastavalta. Nostan hattua Susannan sisukkuudelle ja motivaatiolle, joita hän on osoittanut kuluvan syksyn aikana.
Itse olen ottanut opiskelut erittäin rauhallisesti, sillä olen tilanteessa, jossa minun on mahdollista opiskella omaan tahtiini. Työ, muut "pakolliset" harrastukset ja terveydentilani ovat kaikki osaltaan vieneet tänä syksynä voimavarojani melko paljon.
Olen lueskellut perheopintoihin liittyvää kirjallisuutta ja kirjoitellut tärkeitä sivunumeroita muistilapuille, jotta löydän esseetä kirjoittaessani ne nopeasti uudelleen. Perheopintojen opintojaksoissa on mukavasti valinnanvaraa lähdekirjallisuuden suhteen. Tämä helpottaa kirjojen hankkimista ja lähes kaikki perhetutkimusjulkaisut löytyvät netistä PDF-tiedostoina.
Johdantojakson sisältöä ovat mm. perheen määrittely ja erilaiset perhemuodot, perhe eri tieteiden näkökulmasta, tilastotieto ja perhepolitiikka nykyperheistä sekä perhetutkimuksen tulokset ja näköalat. Johdantoluennoilla saimme hyvän läpileikkauksen kyseisistä asioista ja lisätietoa löytyy lähdekirjallisuudesta.

Tiäkkö mitä? Sitten kun sulle tulee ajankohtaiseksi suorittaa englannin opinnot, niin ei ole mitään aihetta pelkoon.
